5-Day Raftguide Course: TBCA structured course for those with no or little rafting experience who would like to become a 'trainee raftguide' or just want to learn more and have a good time on the river. Modules on the course include: river dynamics, whitewater confidence, equipment choice, river safety and rescue, raftguiding technique, flip training, basic psychology, surfing, basic 1st aid and a chance to try other river craft. Also included at the end of the course is a Q&A session about a career in the adventure industry. The course runs from 09:00 - 17:00 everyday with mostly practicl sessions and some classroom based learning. On completion of the course you will recieve a certificate outlining the course content and personal reference from the course coach. Coaches for this course include Brent Morffew, who has probably trained at least 50% of raftguides working in the region, and Ed Cornfield, who holds a BA(Hons) Adventure Tourism Management and specialises in leadership training and performance coaching.

2-Day Raftguide Taster: TBCFocusing on the practical skills to guide a raft, basic river dynamics and whitewater confidence. A great taster for those who have tried rafting and would like to learn more but do not want to commit to a full 5-day course.
